Delaney, the Informer
SLIGO, May 26.
At the inquiry into the Tubercurry conspiracy to murder landlords Patrick Delaney, the informer, deposed that Tynan, alleged No. 1, was present at the Phoenix Park murders, and that Brennan, Secretary of the Land League, was a member of the Fenian Directory. Delaney also gave an account of how he was one of a party who went to shoot Detective Sheridan under orders of the League leaders. In his opinion members of the Fenian organization were encouraged to commit crime.
