A YOUNG VETERAN OF THE CIVIL WAR.

In searching for the youngest veteran of the civil war, the claim of
Theodore P. Williams of Brandon, is worthy of attention. Mr. Williams,
who was born in Charlotte, Sept. 3, 1849, and therefore, will be 57
years old Sept. 3. He was a member of Company I, 5th Regiment, Vermont
Volunteers, and saw some good service. It would be curious, indeed, if,
at the present time both the oldest and youngest veterans of the civil
war lived in Brandon. Rev. Leonard Dolph, who will be 101 years old if
he lives until next August, is thought to be the oldest veteran of that
war.
