LOCAL MENTION.

The marriage of Mr. E. C. Wheeler, of Boston, and Miss C. Belle Huntoon,
daughter of James Huntoon, esq., at Cuttingsville,last evening,was an
occasion of rare interest. A party of some forty Rutland ladies and
gentlemen were in attendance. A special car was attached to the 3 p.m.
train, for their accommodation, and returning on the 8:30 p.m., Boston
train. The marriage ceremony was gracefully performed by Rev. Wm. J.
Harris, D.D., rector of Trinity church, Rutland, in accordance with the
ritual of the Episcopal church. A pleasant time was enjoyed. Mr. and
Mrs. Wheeler came to Rutland and left on the 10 o'clock p.m. train for
New York, on their wedding tour. Mr. Wheeler is the well known traveling
agent of Messrs. Wellington Brothers and company, dry goods dealers of
Boston, who has a large circle of friends, who wish him and his
accomplished wife a happy and prosperous future voyage of life.
