FALL WAS FATAL.

Civil War Veteran Dead as Result of Accident That Happened Saturday.

Rutland, May 2.--Edward Quirk of Clarendon avenue, West Rutland, died
this morning at his home as the result of injuries received Saturday
when he fell from a wagon. He struck on his back, the injury resulting
in paralysis. He was 65 years old and was a veteran of the Civil War,
having served with Company B,7th Vermont regiment. He is survived by his
wife and seven daughters. The funeral will be held at the house on
Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Bridget's church in West Rutland.
