NORTH ALABAMA NOTES
--------
MONTGOMERY
has made much substantial progress during the last four years, and her people seem to be showing more spirit now than ever.
Moses Brothers, real estate and insurance agents, have always been in the fore front of public-spirited citizens. Mr. M. L. Moses was the first Mayor after the carpet-bag element lost control of the city, and did much to redeem it from the effects of that regime. In 1880 they established a savings bank, which is now doing a large business. Those gentlemen are largely interested in Sheffield, Mr. A. H. Moses being the President of the company. They are all clever gentlemen and business men of the highest standing.
