A Negro Sharper Caught
AUGUSTA, Ga., Dec. 21.—A negro who has been successfully working a note racket in this city since last Saturday, has finally been caught. He has been stopping children with bundles on the street, giving them a dime to carry a note for him, he agreeing to keep their packages until they returned. As soon as the messenger started on the errand the thief would disappear, carrying the bundles with him. His name is Henry B. Johnson. He claims to be from Waycross. He was caught by decoy, and had to be clubbed into submission.
