A Small Cyclones Work

PEORIA, Ills., July 17.A small cyclone visited the country just across the river from this city this afternoon wrecking a freight train and tearing down trees and small buildings. A man named Emerson of Auburn, N. Y., was struck by lightning while running from the cyclone and was instantly killed. Much damage was done to crops, fences, and timber.
NORWALK, O., July 17.A violent wind and rain storm struck Monroeville to-night, doing serious damage. Lightning struck Otto Goldner's house, killing three sons, Freddie, Willie, and Otto, who were sitting on a lounge. The electricity came down the chimney. Otto was badly burned about the face and body, but the other two were not much disfigured. Kate Smith was badly burned about the arms. Josephine Goldner was present, but was not injured.
