Early Potato Crop in Scotland
The outlook for the potato crop for this section of Scotland is very satisfactory for this season, judging from present indications at this date. The early crops in this immediate neighborhood are looking particularly well, while reports coming from other parts of Scotland give every promise of an abundant yield. As yet the appearance of the dreaded potato wart has not been reported to this consulate. Last year the potato blight made early appearance in Clackmannanshire, but thus far all the reports are most promising for the early potato crop, says Consul H. D. Van Sant, Dunfermline.
