Three Buildings Near Chain Bridge Burned
Fire early today partially destroyed three frame houses in Canal road, near the Chain bridge. Two of the buildings were gutted before engines arrived from Georgetown. One of the houses was occupied by Isabella ASHTON and another by Martha MEDDLEY. The third was unoccupied. The damage is estimated at $1,500.
