Thirteen-Year-Old Girl Says She Left Home Because of Abuse.

Gladys St.Peter, 13 years old, daughter of Mrs. Bertha St.Peter of
Rutland, who was located Friday at the home of relatives in Wallingford
after her mother had reported to the police that she believed her daughter
had eloped, returned to her home Saturday. The girl said her mother formerly
urged her to go out with the young man with whom her mother thought she had eloped,
and that of late her mother had frequently abused her.
