An unknown man about 25 years of age threw himself in front
of a train on the Rutland railroad, near that place,Thursday
morning, and was instantly killed.
Mrs. Thomas Bourdon, of Chittenden, committed suicide by drowning
on Friday morning, the 26th ult.She had not been well for several
days and is supposed to have been insane, although the family had
not noticed any symptons that would seem to indicate insanity,
previous to the fatal act. She leaves a large family of small children.
H. E. Adams, of Rutland, who was arrested some time since for attempting
to steal $5000, in bonds, belonging to H. H. Dyer, was arraigned last week,
and waived an examination and gave bail in the sum of three thousand dollars
for his appearance at the County Court to answer to an indictment of the Grand
Jury, if one shall be found.
