The contest over the United States senatorship in Georgia is growing interesting. Senator Norwood, the incumbent, Gen. Colquitt, governor elect, Col. Thos. Hardeman, Hon. B. H. Hill, ex-Governor Herschell, V. Johnson, etc., etc., are all spoken of, and several of them anxious for the honor.

Gov. Colquitt, of Georgia, is a zealous Baptist, and preaches every Sunday to the negroes whom he employs.
