Lynchburg, Va., April 8. — A pretty wedding was solemnized Sunday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Cyrus, when their daughter, Miss Mattie Eugene Cyrus, was married to Samuel A. Shepherd. The ceremony was performed by Rev. S. J. Liggan, of the Methodist Protestant Church. Miss Laura Moran was the maid of honor and R. L. Brooks was the best man.

William N. Bigbie

Lynchburg, Va., April 8. – William N. Bigbie, aged seventy-four years, for many years a prominent merchant of Lynchburg, died Sunday afternoon of heart trouble. Mr. Bigbie had resided in Lynchburg since early youth. For over fifty years Mr. Bigbie was a member of Court Street Methodist Church. He was a Mason and a Knight Templar, being affiliated with Marshall Lodge, Lynchburg Chapter, Loyal Arch Masons, and De Molay Commandery Knights Templar. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Miss Alice L. Bigbie, and two sous. William T. Bigbie and DuVal A. Bigbie.
