Death of Peter Smith
Last week, Peter Smith, at the North Muir of Forfar, Scotland, died in the one hundred and third year of his age. He was one of those who were pressed, in the year 1745, to assist in conveying Prince Charles Edward's baggage from this quarter to the north, and was a walking chronicle of the occurrences of those times.
