[SPECIAL TO THE APPEAL]
CHATTANOOGA, June 23. – A sensational homicide occurred this evening at Graysville, Ga., eighteen miles from this city, in which a noted desperado named Prisco was killed by Capt. William Strange. The latter was deputized to arrest Prisco, who had committed several burglaries at Cedartown. The desperado swore he would die before he would submit to arrest, and started to draw a pistol. Capt. Strange was too quick for him, and shot him dead. The shooting was justifiable, and no attempt was made to arrest Strange.
