M. J. COOLBAUGH is building a fine residence on Court street.

Mr. G. W. LEE has his house nearly completed.

The Alex MONTGOMERY Esq. of Webster called on us Wednesday.

Charley LEE was home a few days last week.

John ADAMS Esq. of Webster made us a short call Tuesday.

J. W. HAYES, Special agent of the Kansas Mutual Life Association, called

on The Democrat, Monday.

Jas. P. JONES Esq. of Cresson, entered our sanctum on tiptoe, Tuesday.

Call again.

HURLBUT of hardware fame is finishing a tasty cottage, with an artistic

combination of paints.

Henry REINS will not be able to move into his new and elegant residence

for sometime yet, owing to delay in finishing it.

Reports from various parts of the county state that occasionally fields

were badly damaged by the hailstorm.

Mr. D. E. MILLER was called to Atchison to protect himself in a lease of

two years, he had of a building adjoining his elegant restaurant.

D. L. SMITH and Theo. BRACKEN, of Phillipsburg were in Stockton this

week, exhibiting a congressional longing of the latter gentlemen.
