CANDIDATES COMPARED

D(aring) C(ourageous) Anthony is the name of Rooks county's next

sheriff and I. W(ould) (if, I could) Gray will be beaten.

C(lose) G(rip) Mickel will lose his grip ere the ides of November

pass.

C(lever) Shutts cleverly canvasses the county and will be counted in.

H(ardly) A(an) Kenworthy will have hardly enough votes to get there.

But L(abor) H(ard) Leach will still labor hard at the desk in the

Register's office.

J(ingle) T(op) Smith will have to jingle more money in the ears of the

gage before they will give him their undivided support.

While E(ver) P(leasant) Forrey will gracefully adorn the office of

County Clerk for the ensuing term.

J(erk) T(hat) Locke will have to spread his eloquence and soar in

rhetoric to satisfy the voters, he is well -- "Whom they may."

While J(olly) F(ellow) Mullaney will have little trouble to satisfy

the public he is the right man for Surveyor.

Dr. F(ibula) Robbins will have to take many a step to out strip

F(emur) O(cciput) Brainard, M.D. in the race for Coroner.
