Date: November 25 1890

Newspaper published in: Huntsville, AL

Source: Madison Co. Library, Huntsville, AL

Page/Column: Page 2, Column 1

The retirement of Col. E. B. Stahlman, from the vice-presidency of the L. & N. R. R. and the selection of Judge William Woods, of Evansville, has been the theme of a considerable amount of gossip on the streets of Montgomery. Judge Woods is favorably known and will no doubt make a most popular and useful office, but in the retirement of Col. Stahlman the L. & N. has lost one of the best railroad politicians and most influential presidents it ever had.
