Mrs. James F. Thomas, aged 69 years, residing near Eufaula, saw her first railroad train when she came to Eufaula last week.

Polly Hickman, colored, who resides five miles from Eufaula, claims to be 105 years old. She lives with her grandson, who is well past middle age, and had four grown children when the “stars fell” in 1833. She has vivid recollection of incidents of the war of 1812 and of several of the Indian wars. The old woman enjoys excellent health, but is partially deaf.
