Cleveland Will Lecture in Chicago
CHICAGO, Dec. 30. – In the course of lectures which was inaugurated last year by Chauncey M. Depew under the auspices of the Press club of Chicago, the next address will probably be given by ex-President Cleveland. Mr. Cleveland told the financial secretary that he would endeavor to arrange his affairs so as to enable him to accept the club’s invitation late in February or early in March.

CHICAGO, Dec. 30. – The Times publishes the result of an inquiry it recently sent to the editors to Democratic papers in the state of Wisconsin, regarding their preference for United States senator to succeed John Spooner, whose term expires March 3, 1891. All the best known Democratic editors in the state responded, and the result was as follows: Col. William F. Vilas 39, Gen. E. S. Bragg 6, scattering 3.
