Milton, Delaware 29 March 1895 :

Colonel W. W. Jones of this town has married actress Mrs. Jennie West.
A reception, of sorts, was had in the town of Milton after they returned to the Colonel's home there following a romantic marriage in Philadelphia just a few days ago. Jennie West will be remembered as the stranded actress who had been aided by the people of Philadelphia. The happy pair arrived in Milton Saturday and at once repaired to the Colonel's home amongst happy surroundings. News of the Colonel's being at home with his new bride flashed over town and that evening a genuine old Calathumpian serenade was given with Mrs Jone's joining in with music from her banjo. Sunday they attended the Methodist Protestant Church, sitting in the Colonel's accustomed pew from which he introduced his wife to the people present. Following the service a small reception was held at the church. On Monday evening the Milton Cornet Band also gave a serenade.
