Medical Association Favors Establishing Pasteur-Institute In Atlanta
-------
ATLANTA, April 19.—A movement has been inaugurated by the Georgia Medical association that may result in the establishment in Atlanta of a Pasteur institute for the treatment hydrophobia.
The suggestion that the institute be established here was made by Dr. Henry R. Slack of LaGrange in a paper entitled “Hydrophobia and the Necessity of a Pasteur Institute in Georgia.” An interesting discussion followed the reading of Dr. Slack’s paper, in which many of the doctors present commended the idea and urged its adoption.
On motion of Dr. A. W. Briggs of West Point President McRae was authorized to appoint a committee of seven to look into the matter and make a report later. If the plan proves feasible it will be given the official indorsement of the association.
