In the heart of a suburb at Atlanta, Ga., a burly negro committed assault on a white woman named Mrs. Buchanan, at the point of a revolver to cook him a meal. After the brute finished eating, he tied the woman to a bed post and set fire to the bedding. Her screams attracted neighbors, who released her before she was seriously burned, but she was prostrated from the shock.
