News from All Parts of the State Summarized
A few nights ago at Arcadia the three Low boys, who were in jail for cow stealing, escaped, and have not since been heard from. Officers have been searching the woods for them, but there is no trace as yet. This makes the second time the jail has been broken. The first was about eighteen months ago, when James North and Quinn Bass escaped. North was under sentence to be hanged for the murder of one S. A. Sauls and Bass to life imprisonment for the murder of Hardy Johnson. Bass was killed while resisting arrest, and North is still at large and is said to have been seen several times by various persons in the county, but he still evades the officers in some way.
