SENATOR PROCTOR’S SUCCESSOR
Proctor, Vermont, March 5.—John Walcott Stewart, former governor of Vermont, was appointed to the United States senate by Governor Fletcher D. Proctor to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Senator Redfield Proctor. Mr. Stewart was accepted.
