James McCall of West Troy surrendered himself to the police of that village, saying: "I have kicked my wife to death." It was found that the woman had been terribly kicked, and there was a deep knife wound in her neck. The latter caused death in the opinion of the physician. The woman was found in their residence in a pool of blood. She was about 55 years old. Her maiden name was Mary Hurley. The husband is 57 years old and a native of Ireland. He says his head has been out of order for some time.
