Mrs. Elam Passes Away at the Age of Eighty-Two

Osborn's Gap, Va., March 24. Mrs. Margaret Elam, aged 82, is dead as the result of constitutional debility. She was one of the noted ten octogenarians of Dickenson County, whose portraits, with brief sketches, appeared in the Times Dispatch about two years ago. Her maiden name was Bond. She was born in Scott County, Va., in 1832, but had been a resident of this county during the past twenty-five years. Her husband, Wesley Elam, died some years ago, but she enjoyed fairly good health until her last illness.
