Mr. C.C. Wycoff and wife, have returned from their western visit.
Mr. Walter Crone of Kansas is visiting Mr. Andrew this week.
We hear it whispered around that there will be a wedding at this place before long.
We also hear it whispered around that a young fellow from Spoon River is the cause of the whispering.
This being corn shucking time, oat binding stories will be in order for a while.
Mr. Williamson went to see his mother Sunday.
Wm. Dissenburg has returned from Ohio.
Mr. Wm. Blust has moved in the house vacated by Thos. Kingen.
Wm. Belford is hulling clover in this neighborhood this week.
$60 has been subscribed toward moving the Christian church to this place. We think that before we give anything we would like to see the old trustees turn the church over to a new set of trustees. This old set of trustees taxed Elmore Lodge No. 134 to death and brothers, they will tax you out of all sense and reason.
