Milton, Delaware 14 August 1900
The shipment of a superior kind of clay, found on farms along the upper Broadkill River, has become an important industry at Milton. This clay is being sold to northern markets. At this time, the schooner Fannie, Captain Reed, is now loading this clay at Blacks Landing for the port of Bridesville in Philadelphia county, Pennsylvania.
