TOCCOPOLA, Miss., July 17. (Spl.)—Plans are being prepared by a committee of citizens of Pontotoc whereby a permanent library for the town and county will be established and maintained. The committee plans to secure the necessary room and furnish same substantially and neatly. The bookcases will be made by the Boy scouts, under the direction of their leader, Rev. J. L. Robinson. The management of the library will be under the supervision of the Red Cross, which has the privilege of using several hundred volumes, now in its care.

TOCCOPOLA, Miss.—John Richey, of the Sherman community, died at his home. He is survived by a widow and eight children, Mrs. J. P. Green, of Birmingham, Ala.; Mrs. T. F. Barton, Sherman; H. C. Leonard, Tupelo; Miss Mary Richey, Sherman; Paul Richey, Tupelo; Wallace Richey, Chattanooga, Tenn.; Holder Richey, Sherman, and Fielding Richey, Saltillo. Interment was made in the Saltillo cemetery.
