PERSONAL AND GENERAL
W. H. YEATES was hanged at Chatham, Va., Aug. 4, for the murder of P. E. Adkerson. Two negroes mounted the scaffold in Florida on the same day—-Merrick Jackson, at Fernandina, and Harrison Carter, at Jacksonville.
