Several hours before authorities were to removed them to the Athens county home, seven children, ranging in age from six weeks to ten years, were found dead with their mother, Mrs. Toney Stravisar, burned to death or asphyxiated, in their home at Kimberly, a small mining town, near Nelsonville, Ohio. The children were tied to their beds and coal oil had been sprinkled over the room.
