Hunters Are Warned
Montgomery.—Violators of the state game laws, especially those who hunt without license, will be watched keenly during the winter months. This announcement was made by John H. Wallace, Jr., commissioner of conservation. In letters to the state game wardens on Monday, Mr. Wallace asked that they be on the alert for those law violators and to arrest all persons who violate the laws.
Jefferson County Jail Commended
Montgomery.—A complete report on the conditions of the Jefferson county jail was made to the state prison department by Miss Anne Davis, deputy inspector of the department. She reports good food is being served the inmates, but suggest that the methods of cooking be changed. After Dr. Glenn Andrews, prison inspector, had examined the report it was sent to Gov. Kilby. The inspector commends very highly the work of the sheriff of Jefferson County and also his assistants.
