Brother W. M. Moultry, one of our beloved and most estimable friend and brother was murdered by an assassin, Zeke Hollis. The wound that severed the brittle thread of life was inflicted April 28, 1907, dying instantly. Brother reared midst our relation had always been such that in our affections he was truly one of us. He was born in the year of 1876. Married to Miss Maggie Rogers, Oct. 25, 1906. He was a member of Mt. Hillard, Baptist Church and was ever faithful to discharge his duty of the church to which he was a member.
He joined the Masonic Lodge Dec. 23rd 1904, Myrtle Lodge No. 162. He was ever dutiful to his lodge and died in good standing with the lodge and also with the Endowment Department. He was also a member of the G. U. O. of O. F. Little Oak, Lodge No. 7205. He was in good standing with the lodge. He was clothed with many virtues, among which honesty peculiarly bright. He left his companion, one child and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his death. Reader allow your mind to follow his remains to the city of the dead. There it was his loved ones and many friends went to view for the last time on earth, his mortal remains.
