Rehoboth Beach July 14 1975
Captain John 'Oyster' Brown, age 72, of New Oreans Street died Friday at Beebe Hospital after a short illness. He was a 1950's era oyster boat captain and lately a warden. He had
also been a Henlopen Acres patrolman for the past eleven years.
His wife, Mary Bertha, died in 1972 and he has a sister Mrs William Buckaloo of Dewey Beach.
His services were held by Page Melson Funeral Home, Rehoboth, burial was in
Epworth Methodist Cemetery.
