Montgomery, October 11.—C. H. Billingsley, chief clerk of the pure food department of Alabama, announces that he will enforce the law relative to unripe fruits being shipped into Alabama as diligently as possible. He does not yet know whether the Alabama statutes provides for the confiscation of fruits which come from Florida in unripe condition, but he says that if the statutes provide for the destruction of fruits such fruits he will surely see to such confiscation.
