Description: A Singular Case of Insanity.Date: June 22 1870
Newspaper published in: Springfield, MO
A Mr. William RAY, formerly a well known citizen of Taney county, was brought to this city yesterday and placed in charge of jailor Badlong to await the next session of the County Court. Mr. RAY has for several years past been subject to seasons of mental aberration, which, singular to say, have generally occurred during the months of May and June. At other seasons of the year he has seemed to be perfectly sane and every way competent to conduct his business. Within the last month the malady has taken a more serious turn, and his friends have found it necessary to place him in close custody to prevent him from doing injury either to himself or those around him. The County Court will probably take cognizance of the case.
