Lawrence Cove Lights
-------
MR. EDITOR:--I have been reading your valuable paper for some time and have concluded to write a few dots concerning our community.
Some of our most industrious farmers have commenced to sow oats.
We have a good school in Lawrence Cove, taught by Rev. J. E. Weaver, our school will close the 9th day of March. I hope you will all come to the examination and see how much we have learned.
Mr. J. J. Self has just returned from a visit to Breman.
The farmers of Lawrence Cove have full corn cribs, we hope their old horses will be able to pull the plows with more ease this year than common.
Mrs. Francis Latham, a good lady of this community, died with a lingering disease the 11th of Jan.
Mr. A. C. Oden, one of our best citizens, a middle aged man, died of consumption the 30th of Jan., leaving a wife and two children to mourn the loss of a husband and after.
We extend our best wishes to the ENQUIRER and the editor.
H. R. L.
