Lewes, Delaware 19 February 1940 :

Carlyn Leishman, daughter of the Rev. Dr. and Mrs William Leishman of Lewes, was married to Luther R. Vessels, son of

Mr & Mrs L. R. Vessels of Lewes, at Lewes Presbyterian Church, Lewes, Saturday, the brides father officiating.

The church was decorated with snapdragons and pink carnations.

Robert Leishman, brides brother gave her in marriage, Mrs Thomas Ryan, Wilmington, was her matron of honor. Fred Wolfe was

Mrs Vessels best man.

Mrs J. W. Hocker Jr, soloist with Mrs William Thompson playing the wedding music.

After a wedding trip to Florida, the couple will make home on Lewes Beach.
