NEWS AND NOTES FOR WOMEN
London boasts many aristocratic milliners. “Mme. Valentine,” of Mortimer Street, is Mrs. Charles Gurney, a sister of Mr. Val Prinsep, and formerly the reigning beauty in London society. She has, in turn, made dresses for several other noted belles, including two Americans, Miss Chamberlain and Miss Winslow. Another milliner, “Lierrre,” of Park Street, is Lady Gransville Gordon, a particular friend of the Duchess of Teck. She personally waits on the customers at her shop.
