Mrs. Martha Jordan, wife of Samuel J. Jordan, of Clark county, was burnt to death on the 25th by her clothes taking fire. It appears that her husband was absent, and no one about the house but herself and an infant child, at the time of the accident. Her husband returned in the evening, and found her lying in the yard dead - her clothes having been entirely consumed. The deceased was about 21 years of age, and a member of M. E. church.
