Mary Ann Eads was born February 3, 1861, in Washington County, Missouri and passed away at her home in Flat River April 27, 1936, at the age of 75 years, 2 months and 24 days.

She was united in marriage to William D. Harris July 7, 1876. To this union was born nine children, five sons and four daughters. Her husband, one son and one daughter preceded her in death. She is survived by the seven children, Mrs. Ida Patterson, at home with her mother; William Harris, also at home; James Benjamin Harris of Bonne Terre; Mrs. Stella Lozier of St. Louis; Clifford and Oliver of Flat River; and Mrs. Lena Ray of Farmington, Route 4. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and one brother, Joe Eads, of Bonne Terre. One brother, James Eads, died four years ago.

"Grandma Eads," as the deceased was known to those who knew her, was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church of Flat River.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Free Will Baptist church of Flat River by Rev. James F. Miller, assisted by the Rev. Chronister.
