Description: Hon. Mitchell Goes to Texas to Defend Pontotoc Boy

Hon. C. B. Mitchell will leave in a day or two for Texas, whither he goes to defend a Pontotoc boy who now is incarcerate in a Texas jail charged with the crime of murder. The young man is well and most favorably known in our county, being nearly connected to a number of our best, most worthy and esteemed citizens. We can but believe there is some mistake, and are well satisfied that if such be the case and the young man is innocent, as we believe, Col. Mitchell is the man to establish his innocence. We congratulate the young man on his good fortune in securing such able counsel.—Pontotoc True Democrat.
