Pauline McCoy, the negro woman who a few months ago murdered Annie Jordon, a demented white girl who wandered from her home in Montgomery, Ala., has been sentenced to be hanged October 18. The crime was committed near Union Springs, Ala., where the murderess is now in jail. She will be the first woman hanged in Alabama since the war.
