James Kenneth Douglas, 5 New Castle Street, Rehoboth, age 63, born 30 September 1921 in Delaware, a son of late Dr. William E. and Elizabeth Ellis McReady Douglas, died of pulmonary embolism July 10, 1984 at Beebe Hospital in Lewes.
He retired in 1980 after 10 years with the Grant in Aid Department of Delaware Division Natural Resources and Enviromental
Control in Dover. Prior to his state job he was a contract engineer for duPont, Hercules and Eastman Kodak on the east coast.
Ken was a veteran of the Army during WW II, a member of Rehoboth Kiwanis and Rehoboth Historical Society.
Surviving are his wife, former Alice Gertrude McNamara, who he married the 19th of February, 1943, a som, James Kenneth, Jr., pf
Chestertown, Maryland, a daughter, Elizabeth Derrickson of Rehoboth, a brother W. Ross Douglass of Sherwood, Maryland, a sister
Mary Catherine Blakeley of Rehobboth, five grandcjildren and two step grandchildren.
Graveside service was at the Douglas Family Plot, Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milton, Delaware.
