Burglars
-------
Galloway’s store, which is located seven or eight miles west of Tupelo, in Pontotoc county, was broken into and robbed of a considerable quantity of goods, one night last week. Three young men of the neighborhood—Horton, Burleson and Simmons—were arrested and the stolen goods found in their possession. They subsequently made a full confession of the crime, and plead guilty before a Magistrate’s Court, and were held in a bond of $300 each, which they had not given at last account. They made an attempt to break into Mr. J. W. Sample’s store, at Coonewar, the same night they robbed Galloway’s, but were frightened away before accomplishing their purpose.
