On Wednesday last Messrs. Langley and Nixon who reside in Rankin County attempted to arrest a negro by the name of Bill Nixon, who murdered a man in Wilcox County, Ala., recently. When brought to bay he showed fight, fired two shots, and took to the woods. Five shots were fired at him by his pursuers, but he succeeded in making his escape. A large reward is offered for his capture. He is a dark mulatto, 5 feet 10 inches in height with very little beard on his face. Look out for him.
