Capt. J. A. McFerrin, a wounded Confederate soldier, in a hospital at Columbus, Ga., proposed to Miss Glenn, the nurse who attended him. She refused, saying he had best serve his country. After the war he married and raised six children, making his home at Clarksville, Tenn. His wife died two years ago, and now, his long latent love for his war-time sweetheart outcropping, he proposed, and this time had better luck. He and Miss Glenn were married.
