Alleged Murderer Captured
-------
The authorities of Logan County W. Va., placed under arrest Fred Stratton, charging him with being the murderer of Rosa White, the pretty eighteen-year-old girl who was found dead with her head almost severed from her body Saturday morning. Stratton was hiding in the woods when captured, but he surrendered without any resistance.
The autopsy held yesterday revealed the fact that the young girl would have become a mother soon, and Stratton is believed to be the one who accomplished her betrayal.
The bloody weapons found near the scene have been traced to Stratton, his initials even being on the razor which was found near the dead body.
The alleged murderer was taken to Logan jail, but will likely be taken to Huntington for safe keeping. He comes of a respectable family.
