A Lexington, Va., dispatch says: At 5 o’clock Thursday morning, the body of General T. J. Jackson was taken, by order of the committee in charge of the monument, from the graved in the city cemetery, where it was interred at the time of his death, and placed in the vault over which the monument is now building and which will be unveiled on the 21st of July. The vault was sealed up permanently. It was Mrs. Jackson’s request that the body be removed in the night, and that no one should know of it but the committee in charge.
